It was about additional investments in the production facilities of the Omsk enterprise. The meeting was attended by Oksana Fadina, Minister of Economy of the Omsk Region, Sergey Kalinin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MilcOm plant, and Sergey Sirotin, General Director of the Russian branch of the company.
They visited the production halls of the enterprise, tasted the products. Ecolean Company is one of the world leaders in the field of development and production of equipment and eco-friendly packaging. Two years ago, the Omsk MilkOm plant was equipped with Swedish bottling lines, which produces products under the Luzhaikino trademark: milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, sour cream.
This project is unique not only for Omsk, but also for the whole of Siberia. No analogues have been built in the region for the last 20 years. Investments in production exceeded 300 million rubles. An important feature of the Ecolean production line is the use of only natural raw materials and multi-stage quality control, including at the international level: the Swedish operator monitors online the bottling of each batch of dairy products under TM "Luzhaikino".
The regional government appreciated Ecolean's contribution to the development of the Omsk Region's production potential and decided to award the company's president, Peter Nilsson, with the Omsk 300th Anniversary Medal for supporting investment projects. Sergey Sirotin, CEO of the Russian branch of the company, also received the award.
The First Vice-governor praised the Omsk enterprise. "This new advanced production facility, which uses new technologies, will expand. The President of Russia has set the task for the regions to implement the import substitution program and provide themselves with food products. – said Andrey Novoselov. – We pay close attention to the dairy industry. Our population should drink high–quality milk and consume high-quality products such as cottage cheese and sour cream. Therefore, first of all, the development of such industries is a social issue, a matter of the health of our population."
Peter Nilsson emphasized that his company works with the whole world and regards cooperation with the MilcOm enterprise as a very promising project.: "The Russian consumer is interested in the quality of the product. I hope that our cooperation will last for many years."
According to the chairman of the Board of Directors of the MilcOm plant, Ecolean's participation made it possible to organize not only modern production in Omsk, but also to introduce technologies that guarantee compliance with European standards in both quality and ecology. "The company gives us preferences in the supply of equipment, trains our people, and acts as an investor in our economy. In a month, we will invite you to open a new line of butter and cottage cheese. We plan to open the second stage of the plant next year," said Sergey Kalinin.
As Oksana Fadina noted, the implementation of such projects is a key factor in the economic development strategy of the Omsk Region. "This unique project is the pride of our region. It is distinguished by a high level of technology and product quality. The Omsk Region Government supports the implementation of investment-oriented projects, and for two years in a row the company has successfully passed a competition for subsidies to partially compensate for the costs associated with the purchase of equipment. There is no doubt that the funds allocated in the form of subsidies have an economic effect and the volume of tax revenues to budgets of all levels is increasing."
