Participants of the Open Industry educational program visited the Omsk Rubber plant with an excursion

Today, as part of a field practical session, members of the regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region visited the Omsk Rubber enterprise (part of the Titan Group of Companies), where they made an exciting journey into the world of petrochemistry.

It should be noted that an industrial tour is one of the effective tools of industrial tourism, allowing an enterprise to promote a brand, create a positive image of the company and trademark, attract investors and build human resources.

The event was attended by representatives of relevant ministries of the Omsk Region Government, industrial enterprises, specialists from regional tour operators, universities, and business support institutes. The practical session was led by Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Region Government.

"Industrial tourism is a tool that allows us to open up the region, convince our youth that Omsk industrial enterprises are at a high technological level, fall in love with working professions, and attract investments. Today we visited the Omsk Rubber model enterprise to show each member of the working group how the industrial route is being built, how safety precautions are being observed, and how the company pursues an environmental policy. During the strategic session, we discussed how each company participating in the educational program can do the same or even better. And on February 29, we plan to present the first industrial tourist route of the Omsk Region as part of the Federal Practice field internship at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia to representatives of executive authorities and businesses in the Siberian Federal District," said Andrey Shpilenko.

After the safety briefing and the issue of work clothes, the participants went on a sightseeing bus tour, where they learned about the main production processes that take place at the plant and what products the company produces. Sergey Ivanilov, General Director of Omsk Rubber, demonstrated to the members of the working group on the development of industrial tourism the modern production of phenol and acetone, the workshop for the production of isopropyl alcohol, the production of high-octane additives and liquefied petroleum gases.

"The Omsk Rubber plant has the largest production facilities in Russia for basic chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol and methyl tert-butyl ether. These products are of great importance for the chemical and other industries of the country, and their production is really interesting to observe. We are ready to take our place in the future ecosystem of industrial tourism in the Omsk region," said Sergey Ivanilov.

During the session, the participants of the working group discussed the packaging of the tour, the technological map of the route, and evaluated the tour from the point of view of a consumer and a specialist in the development of industrial tourism.

For reference: Omsk region became a participant of the All-Russian educational program "Open Industry" for the first time. The program, aimed at promoting the human and technological potential of Russian manufacturers, is organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Center for Tourism and Hospitality Competencies (St. Petersburg) with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The application for participation in the accelerator, prepared by the Omsk Region team, was among the top three out of 65 regions of the Russian Federation. The region is represented by 13 industrial enterprises in the accelerator.
