In the Year of Ecology in the Omsk region, a project is being implemented to build sewage treatment plants at a joint venture «Thermal power plant-5» within the framework of the fourёa tripartite agreement between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management, the Government of the Omsk Region and JSC «THC-11» (the structure of which includes the joint venture «Thermal power plant-5»). The action plan for the project was approved at a meeting of the Public Environmental Council under the Governor of the Omsk Region and the Public Council under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Omsk Region.

The project is scheduled to be implemented in 2017-2019 This project is of great ecological importance for the region. The new technological scheme for the treatment of industrial wastewater provides for the possibility of reuse of purified water in the technical water supply system of the joint venture «Thermal power plant-5», what will have a positive impact on the preservation of open reservoirs in the Omsk region (the Om River). At all stages of wastewater treatment, highly efficient equipment will ensure the reliability of mechanical, physico-chemical treatment and disinfection of treated wastewater.
