The Maryanovsky district of the Omsk region has its own beef cattle breeding center.

The Druzhba livestock farm has been awarded the status of a breeding reproducer.

Druzhba LLC of the Maryanovsky district was included in the list of enterprises that received the status of a breeding reproducer for the breeding of Hereford cattle on the basis of an order from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.

Druzhba LLC is a cattle breeding enterprise in the meat sector. To improve the quality of meat, the farm uses the genetic potential of pedigreed animals acquired in the Tyumen, Novosibirsk regions and the Altai Territory.

To date, the farm has more than 1,000 cattle in its herd, including 400 cows. The feed base makes it possible to obtain bulls weighing more than 400 kg by the time the cattle are sold (16 months old).

The status of a breeding producer will allow the farm to receive young animals for sale to farms and the population, to produce high-quality beef, which will appear on Omsk shelves.

According to Alexander Kurzanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region, the new reproducer enables agricultural managers and farmstead owners to purchase breeding bulls and heifers adapted to our weather conditions in the Omsk region and receive subsidies for the development of beef cattle breeding through breeding of pedigreed animals.
