A presentation of the investment attractiveness of the Omsk region took place in Moscow
The event was attended by more than 150 representatives of Russian business and business communities, friendly foreign countries. A landmark event for the region took place on September 12 in the capital.
The presentation presents the economic advantages of the region, major infrastructure and import substitution projects. The event is aimed at creating a positive image of the region and attracting the attention of potential investors to the opportunities and prospects for business development in the region.
Governor Vitaly Khotsenko emphasized the strategic importance of Omsk as a platform for the implementation of various business ideas, and also highlighted successful examples of existing investment projects. Among the important advantages for entrepreneurs are the special conditions for doing business in the region, such as preferential tax regimes, investor support programs and the potential for the development of high technologies.
"In the face of modern challenges, we are open to new things and are able to flexibly respond to changes," said Vitaly Khotsenko, head of the Omsk Region.
The Governor also introduced the team of the investment unit of the regional Cabinet of Ministers. Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, told the presentation participants about existing and planned infrastructure sites, single window mechanisms for investor support, and federal and regional business support measures.
The Minister of Economic Development of the region, Anna Negoduiko, introduced the main socio-economic indicators of the Omsk region and presented the main competitive advantages of the region. In turn, Svetlana Bazhenova, Director of the Industrial Development Fund, spoke about the region's cluster policy and existing investment niches. Omsk region is consistently included in the TOP 20 ratings of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on the effectiveness of regional industrial policy and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia on scientific and technological development of the subjects of the Russian Federation.
There are three industrial parks, an industrial technopark, and 12 industrial clusters have been created, which include more than 80 enterprises. Measures to support industrial activities, cluster policy, and infrastructure development have been developed and are being implemented. From 2021 to 2023, the industrial enterprises of the region received financial support from the regional budget in the total amount of more than 3.3 billion rubles. The Omsk region has remained in the TOP 10 of the rating of public-private partnership development and performance of the regional export center for several years. The region took the first place in the country for the implementation of the export standard. Investment activity in the agro-industrial complex is actively developing.
