Omsk discussed the possibility of creating a cluster for the processing of ash and slag waste
Today, 6 On December 31, a meeting of the working group on the use of ash and slag waste in the production of building materials was held at the Omsk Regional Expocenter.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the executive authorities and the management of Omsk companies, as well as persons interested in the development of this area in the region.
«The Agency was contacted by enterprises interested in forming a scientific and industrial cluster for the use and processing of ash and slag waste in the Siberian Federal District. That is why we have gathered you today to make a decision and, based on the relevant prerequisites, discuss the prospects for creating a cluster.», - The General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency greeted the participants. During the meeting, the participants discussed the prospects of creating a scientific and industrial cluster for the use and processing of ash and slag waste in the Siberian Federal District based on the enterprises of the group of companies «Osnova Holding», JSC «THC-11», Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution OF Higher Education «Siberian State Automobile and Road Academy», Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution OF Higher Education «Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin».
The regional ministries supported the companies' initiative and expressed their willingness to provide all possible assistance. As emphasized by the head of the Department for improving the competitiveness of the economy and the development of priority clusters of the Department of Priority Directions for the Development of the region of the Ministry of Economy of the Omsk region Tatiana Samigulova, The creation and development of clusters is one of the key directions for stimulating economic development in the Omsk region according to the Strategy of Socio-economic Development of the Omsk region up to 2025 years. She notes that financial support is provided for clusters at the federal level. To attract it, it is necessary to fulfill a number of requirements stipulated by the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 31 July's 2015 year No. 779.
The Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency is ready to support enterprises in forming a cluster.
«Industrial clusters — This is one of the tools of territorial development, so the Agency, of course, is interested in this type of cooperation between enterprises, and is ready to assist in its formation.»,- notes Vadim Savitsky.
