Today, the fourth city competition, "The Best by Profession in the Welder nomination," has been launched at the WELTA software site. 15 welders from industrial enterprises of the Omsk region compete for the title of the best and demonstrate their professional skills.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region, the Omsk Regional Branch of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Omsk Region.
The opening ceremony of the competition began with a welcoming speech by Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk region: "Dear friends, I congratulate you on the holiday. After walking around the exhibition, I came to the conclusion that it is not only prestigious and highly paid for welders. I know perfectly well that a good welder is worth his weight in gold. But it turns out it's also fashionable. What kind of clothes, what kind of masks. I want to say thank you to the organizers, the owners of this enterprise. It is thanks to such people that we really respected and appreciated this profession."
After the opening ceremony, a solemn awarding ceremony was held for the employees of the company "VELTA" - members of the regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region. They received certificates of advanced training in the program of additional professional equipment specializing in the Organization of industrial tourism.
The participants of the competition were instructed on safety and working with CEDAR devices, and started the competition block. The jury will evaluate the contestants in two nominations: the best by profession in the Welder category and the special prize "Young Professionals".
As part of the business program of the competition, the EXPO zone operates, where products from domestic manufacturers are presented: welding machines, machinery and workwear. Participants and guests will receive a raffle of prizes from the sponsors of the competition, and students of specialized colleges will receive an Open Dialogue platform where they can get answers to questions from potential employers.
It should be noted that Maxim Shulgat, head of the Regional Competence Center of the Omsk Region, works at the site. At the stand, he presents the national project "Labor Productivity" to Omsk enterprises - he talks about the targeted support provided by the RCC, process optimization and the introduction of lean technologies. Participation in such events helps to popularize the national project and find new participants.
Igor Lukyanov, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region, also took part in the opening ceremony: "Today, the welder's skills are in demand in almost any production. In fact, the welder profession is a multifaceted profession that is extremely popular in the labor market. There are quite serious requirements for welders. Today, the best of the best gathered at the VELTA production site. Thanks to you and your professionalism, unique products are being produced in our region today: the Angara A5 rocket, the T-80 tank, engines for modern aviation, radio and electrical equipment, agricultural machinery and much more."
