The final version of the master plan of the capital of the Omsk north, the city of Tara, was presented in Omsk

Today, an expert discussion of the presentation of the master plan of the city of Tara took place at the site of the regional Congress hall. This plan will form the basis of the development strategy of the oldest city in the Siberian Federal District for the next decade.

Work on the document began in the summer of 2024. The developers were Moscow experts DOM.Russian Federation together with specialists from the Higher School of Economics. The working group included representatives of the Omsk Region Government, district and city administrations, active citizens and entrepreneurs.

Earlier, the Governor of the Omsk Region, Vitaly Khotsenko, noted that the development of master plans for the Omsk urban agglomeration and the oldest city in Siberia, Tara, will allow us to define a unified spatial development strategy, which will improve the urban environment, which means that our cities will become more comfortable for residents. In addition, the development of a master plan for Tara will make the city more attractive to investors and will allow combining development solutions.

The participants of the event were told about common approaches to the development of the city, revealed issues of cultural and tourism management, healthcare and education, as well as the preservation of historical heritage and architectural monuments. The key moment in the program was the presentation of possible investment projects and the discussion of the developed solutions within the framework of the priority directions of the development of the city of Tara.

Thus, during the development of the master plan of the city of Tara, advantages and priority industries were identified. It is possible to create a variety of industries in the municipal area.: for deep processing of milk, organic fertilizers, birch building materials, artificial drying feed, sapropel processing and others.

"There are 29 priority projects in the master plan, each of them is a separate investment case. The developers have done a lot of work. The Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency, in turn, as a "one-stop shop" for investors, together with the investment commissioner of the Tarsky Municipal District of the Omsk Region, will form investment proposals from these projects according to the standards of the Municipal Investment Standard. The master plan for Tara should become a roadmap for transforming the city into a comfortable, economically developed and culturally significant center in the northern part of the Omsk region," said Evgeny Kovtun, the Agency's General Director.

In the future, it is planned to approve a long-term comprehensive plan that establishes project implementation commitments, the phased introduction of planned activities into municipal and state programs, as well as the systematic work of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency involving stakeholders in the implementation of investment projects in the Tarsky Municipal District.
