Omsk continues to develop cluster policy
The first meeting of the working group on improving the competitiveness of enterprises participating in the industrial cluster of electrical equipment, electronic and optical products was held today under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk region Andrey Shpilenko. The cluster includes six Omsk enterprises with close production cooperation.
During the meeting, Svetlana Bazhenova, Director of the Omsk Region State Industrial Development Fund, a non-profit organization, made a presentation of the industrial cluster. Together with colleagues, we reviewed the investment projects and roadmaps of the cluster participants, identified the deadlines and responsible executors of the measures within the framework of the implementation of the roadmaps.
The working group includes Evgeny Kovtun, Director General of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency, and the Head of the Regional Center for Labor Productivity Competencies (based on the Agency). Maxim Shulgat.
"The proactive position of the Omsk business community is important for the development of regional industrial policy. Kvant is a member of the industrial cluster of electrical equipment, electronic and optical products. Together with colleagues in the cluster and the regional Industrial Development Fund, the company plans to implement projects for the production of import-substituting products: self-regulating heating cables and explosion-proof plastic boxes. In addition, the company is a participant in the national Labor Productivity project and, with the expert support of the RCC, is working on improvements in office processes," said CEO Evgeny Kovtun.
As a result of the working session, the next meeting is scheduled, where they will clarify the progress of the implementation of the "roadmaps" of the cluster participants and discuss the selection of specific support measures for the successful implementation of investment projects.
