Omsk continues to implement cluster policy
Today, the third meeting of the working group on the implementation of cluster policy in the Omsk region took place on the site of the regional Congress Hall. The focus was on enterprises participating in the industrial petrochemical cluster of the region.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, representative of the Omsk Region to the Government of the Russian Federation Andrey Shpilenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of executive authorities, business support structures and heads of industrial enterprises of the Omsk region.
"Currently, industrial clusters are the main mechanism for the development of intersectoral cooperation. Industrial clusters are an existing chain of industrial enterprises from the initial raw materials to the final products. In order to systematize state support measures, in order to direct them to remove barriers, the state has come up with this mechanism. The main goal of the cluster is not to help any particular company in a targeted manner, but to assist all participants in the chain in improving product competitiveness," said Andrey Shpilenko.
During the meeting, Svetlana Bazhenova, Director of the Omsk Region Industry Development Fund, spoke about the methodology of the Specialized Organization of Industrial Clusters, the roadmaps of participants in the petrochemical cluster and the prospects for entering new sales markets.
The industrial petrochemical cluster includes six Omsk enterprises.: Omsk Rubber, Gofra-Omsk, Akril, Omsktekhuglerod, Titan-Agro, and Titanium Lubricants. As part of the joint work in the cluster, enterprises are planning to implement projects for the production of import-substituting industrial products.
Currently, the regional FRP is identifying investment niches, and the Agency for Development and Investment will further prepare investment proposals for potential investors in order to replace them.
