Federal experts to gather in Omsk to support technological startups of universities
On December 8-9, Omsk will host a Youth Technology Forum for entrepreneurs, young scientists and students. The event will become a key platform in the region, where representatives of the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation, NTI and Skolkovo will help local startups make the most effective use of the resources of the new federal Technology project.
The Forum is designed as a gathering point for resources, knowledge and contacts for the development of university startups and small technology companies. The business program is designed so that everyone, from those who are just thinking about their own project to the current innovator, can find useful opportunities for themselves.
"The key goal of the forum is to discuss and develop effective strategies for "refining" and bringing technological innovations from the scientific laboratory to the market," says Natalia Chernomazova, head of the Youth Technology Forum. "The Forum is an excellent platform for networking, where innovators from different regions of the country can meet and exchange experiences over the course of two days."
Omsk Region already has a comprehensive support system for technology projects: from the business incubator and the My Business center for SMEs to the Avangard special economic zone for large enterprises. In addition to the existing business support measures, the federal Technology project has been launched this year, aimed at developing small technology companies and university startups. The operators of this federal project are invited to participate in the forum: representatives of the NTI Platform (National Technology Initiative), the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation, and the Skolkovo Foundation.
The practical benefits for the participants will be supported by investment activities. The program includes a pitch session of SIBIT accelerator projects "Height 55", and the venture fund "Springboard" will hold a separate investment session for research projects of universities and technology companies, where it will be possible to receive recommendations on how to enhance investment attractiveness and attract financing.
The organizers of the forum: Boiling Point – Omsk together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Omsk region, the Omsk regional business incubator and the venture fund "Springboard". The event is supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
