The Federal Practice internship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has started in Omsk

An on-site internship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation under the Federal Practice program has started in the Omsk Region. For two days, the participants of the Federal Practice will get acquainted with the current support mechanisms, discuss industrial development strategies and share experiences.

About 600 people are taking part in the event. These are representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, development institutes, regional ministers of industry, as well as representatives of industrial enterprises and businesses from all 10 regions of the Siberian Federal District and 6 more regions of the country. The field internship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is taking place in the Omsk region for the first time.

The participants were greeted by Ivan Kulikov, Director of the Department of Regional Industrial Policy at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Vasily Sokolov, Head of the Department for Interaction with state Authorities of the Subjects of the Russian Federation and Local Governments at the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District, and Vitaly Khotsenko, Governor of the Omsk Region. In a video address to the internship participants, the head of the region noted that it was a great honor to host such a landmark event on Omsk soil.

"Each participant of the Federal Practice will receive information about the priorities of state industrial policy, state support measures, and will also be able to establish new partnerships with colleagues from other regions of the Siberian Federal District and beyond. The representation turned out to be even wider than we had originally planned. Over the course of two days, you will find a rich business program, constructive dialogues and interesting discussions. I wish you all productive work and that you will definitely remember the Omsk land and want to come back to us!", emphasized Vitaly Khotsenko.

The welcoming speech on behalf of Denis Manturov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, was read out by Ivan Kulikov, Director of the Department:

"This internship opens a cycle of field training events in 2024. Such internships have already proven to be an effective tool for interacting with regions. The dialogue between the federal and regional authorities helps to take into account the opinions of all participants, to find affordable and practical solutions to topical issues, taking into account the specifics of the subjects of the federal district and enterprises," the greeting says.

"It is a great honor for us to host representatives of the entire Siberian Federal District and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. On behalf of the Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Pavlovich Khotsenko, we have carried out thorough preparations, and we have something to be proud of. Omsk business came and did not remain indifferent, we have prepared "sharp" questions that we will ask federal experts in the dialogue. The Omsk region is currently a leader in the implementation of cluster policy. Today we will demonstrate the activities of the regional Industrial Development Fund in forming cooperative chains and working with industrial enterprises. It is important for us to share our experience with colleagues from the Siberian Federal District. Also, as part of the business program, our regional team will present the first industrial route. This presentation will serve as an impetus for us to demonstrate to young people and entrepreneurs that industry has always been a protection, a shield and shaped the greatness of Russia. I hope that the field internship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia will serve as a catalyst aimed at stimulating the growth of industrial production in our region," said Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, representative of the Omsk Region to the Government of the Russian Federation.

The internship under the Federal Practice program will be held at the regional Congress Hall from February 29 to March 1. The first day of the internship will be devoted to systemic issues – regional industrial policy and industrial infrastructure, system-wide support measures and measures to support the Industrial Development Fund, as well as the development of industrial tourism.

The second day is dedicated to the development of all industries supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The focus will also be on issues of international cooperation and measures to support foreign trade.

The final of the "Federal Practice" will be a presentation of the industrial development roadmaps developed by the regions. Regional industry ministers will defend plans for the development of the industry and for attracting government support measures.
