It is planned that at least two thousand people from the Omsk region, Siberian regions and the Republic of Kazakhstan will take part in the forum.
From May 18 to May 19, Omsk will host for the first time the International Tourism and Transport Forum "Rest! Omsk – 2018", which aims to form and strengthen interregional ties in the field of tourism, develop international and interregional tourist routes, and improve the quality of tourist services. The main organizer of the forum is the Ministry of Culture of the Omsk region.
The forum, which will be held at the regional Congress Hall, will be attended by representatives of regional and municipal authorities, tourism and hotel businesses, souvenir manufacturers, organizers of regional events, as well as tourist information centers and representatives of the tourism sector from the regions of Siberia and the Republic of Kazakhstan. Transport organizations will also take part in the forum, and a round table "Transport. Industrial tourism in the region: problems, ways of development". A presentation of the tourist opportunities of the municipal districts of the Omsk region will take place.
One of the main speakers of the forum will be Gennady Shatalov, the founder of the All-Russian tourist awards "Route of the Year" and "Russian Event Awards", the author of many regional programs in the field of development and support of small business, PR support of interregional and regional projects. He will hold a round table "Review of successful event tourism practices in the regions", "Communication strategy is the key to successful promotion of a travel product", as well as a seminar "Creating a brand of a travel product".
It is expected that up to 2,000 people from the tourism industry and related fields will take part in the forum. The forum's venues will also be open to all comers – admission to all events is free.
