A tourist information center will be opened in the Omsk region.
A large-scale celebration program for World Tourism Day is being prepared in the region.
Today, Deputy Chairman of the regional Government Vladimir Kompaneishchikov held a meeting of the Council for the Development of Tourism in the Omsk region. The Council members discussed the issues of supporting small and medium-sized businesses in tourism; performance on-line sites for the development of medical tourism in the region, which started operating in August; project launch «Development of industrial tourism in Omsk».
The draft law of the Omsk region was also considered. «About tourism and tourism activities in the Omsk region», which will be sent to the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the region for approval in the near future.
The opening of the Omsk Region Tourist information center in the city was announced by Anna Statva, Deputy Minister of Culture of the region. The opening ceremony will take place on World Tourism Day. – 27 september – at the address of Museumnaya St., 3 on the basis of the regional Museum of Enlightenment. The slogan of the tourist information center – «We know all about tourism in the Omsk region».
As explained by Anna Statva, the staff of the center will provide all applicants with the most complete information about the tourist opportunities of the region. The first tourist map of the city in the history of Omsk has already been developed. All visitors of the center will be able to receive it.
In addition, on the eve of World Tourism Day – 24 september – An excursion flash mob will be held in Omsk. At noon sharp, more than two dozen free guided tours of Omsk's iconic sites will start in the central part of the city. Professional guides will tell you about interesting natural, cultural, and historical sites. Active lifestyle enthusiasts will be able to take part in running and cycling excursions. And at the end of the flash mob, everyone will visit the exhibition of the famous Omsk photographer Vladimir Kudrinsky, whose work is addressed to Omsk and Omsk residents.
Today, at a meeting, Chairman of the Council for the Development of Tourism in the Omsk region Vladimir Companeyschikov instructed to consider the issue of resuming cruise tourism in the Irtysh next tourist season. In the near future, a meeting of the heads of relevant departments with the leadership of the Ob-Irtysh Shipping Company will be held, at which it is planned to consider the issue of attracting a comfortable motor ship to this project. «Rimsky-Korsakov».
