On behalf of Governor Viktor Nazarov, specialists from the regional Ministry of Economy are monitoring the situation regarding the promotion and marketing of products produced by agro-industrial enterprises and private subsidiary farms in the Omsk region. For two years, a register of trading places has been maintained, organized at 95 trading floors in the region, which is constantly being updated. As of July 1, 2017, 3,869 retail outlets were created for agricultural producers in rural areas and the city of Omsk, including 1,025 free of charge. In the second quarter of 2017, the number of free retail spaces increased by 27 units.
Compared to April 1, 2017, the occupancy rate of retail outlets increased by 18.7%, and yet almost a third of them remain vacant. Trade organizations and local governments expect to receive new applications from agricultural producers in the third quarter, when the harvest will take place.
Agricultural producers can choose convenient "points of sale" and learn about the mode of operation of markets and agricultural fairs. The register of retail outlets has been sent to the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, municipal district administrations and posted on the website of the Ministry of Economy of the Omsk region in the "Consumer Market" section.
