Medical tourism website launched in Omsk region

Every year, about 30 thousand nonresident patients from 76 regions of Russia and 24 countries near and far abroad apply to medical institutions in the Omsk region.

Specialists of the Omsk medical information and analytical center have developed and launched a portal on medical tourism medtur.omskzdrav.ru .

The site was created with the aim of providing residents of both Russia and foreign countries with maximum information and consulting assistance in solving their health problems.

"We want people to be able to easily find the medical facility they need and be treated there by opening the website. Medical organizations in the Omsk region have high potential and human and technical equipment to provide highly qualified medical care," said Dmitry Shcheglakov, director of the Medical Information and Analytical Center. According to our data, about 30 thousand nonresident patients apply to medical institutions in the Omsk region every year. Patients from 76 regions of Russia and 24 countries near and far abroad come to us. The first stage of the website implementation is underway. In the future, we will replenish its content and involve more and more new medical institutions in cooperation."

At the moment, the portal contains information about the medical services provided and the profiles of medical care provided by 11 institutions. Patients can access a presentation of the institution's work and contact details of the staff responsible for this area.

"Today, the quality of our services is high enough to attract residents from other Russian cities and states to be treated here. It turned out that the Clinical Medical and Surgical Center is a unique institution in a number of areas. This includes spinal surgery, thoracic surgery, and infertility treatment. Today, more and more residents of neighboring regions and Kazakhstan come to us in the field of traumatology and orthopedics. The flow of medical tourists is growing, and our pricing policy is flexible. In addition, our treatment costs much lower than in Germany or Israel, and the quality is no worse. At the same time, we also take care of the level of service.: It is important for us that people feel cared for and paid attention. Attracting medical tourists will strengthen the economic strength of our institutions and allocate additional funds for the treatment of residents of Omsk and residents of the region," explained Vadim Berezhnoy, Chief Physician of BUZOO Clinical Medical and Surgical Center.

As explained in the territorial department of the Compulsory medical Insurance Fund (CHI), Russian citizens can receive medical care included in the CHI program free of charge in each region (regardless of their place of residence) as part of inter-territorial settlements that are made by the territorial CHI funds.
