Vectors of education development discussed in Omsk region

Yesterday, the traditional August meeting of education system workers of the Omsk region took place in the regional congress hall. The Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. The head of the region also presented departmental awards and incentives to employees of the Omsk Region education system.

"This year, more than 240,000 schoolchildren, including about 25,000 first—graders, will sit at desks in the Omsk region," said Vitaly Khotsenko. — Our common goal is for every student to realize their potential, develop talents, study science, and engage in creativity. And this year we have allocated about 3 billion rubles for the preparation of Omsk educational institutions by September 1." 

According to the head of the Omsk region, a long-term regional project "Territory of advanced Development of Engineering Education" will be launched in our region in January. The project involves 21 kindergartens, 8 schools, universities and enterprises that will develop engineering education in various fields. The main idea of the continuous educational program is that from kindergarten teachers will begin to develop children's engineering thinking, Vitaly Khotsenko noted.

"With the support of the Russian Government and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, our region has become a participant in the school overhaul program, and next year we expect to enter the kindergarten and college overhaul program. New national projects are currently being formed, and we intend to participate in them as much as possible. I am sure that it is important to use all opportunities and resources for the benefit of the region," the governor added and thanked the teachers and mentors for their hard work, professionalism, caring for children and their work.

Today's meeting was largely the final one, as the results of the national Education project, which is coming to an end this year, are being summarized. Thanks to him, it was possible to update the material and technical base of educational organizations. Every second rural school in the region now has a "Growth Point". A network of IT-cube digital education centers has been created, six school quantories and one regional one have been opened. A center for identifying and supporting gifted children has been established. Colleges and technical schools are equipped with modern workshops. 

Over the past five years, the school fleet in the region has been updated by 53%. In January, schools received 49 more buses to transport students. For this year, the federal center has agreed to allocate another 50 units of equipment to the region.

By the decision of the president, starting in September, parenting advisers will receive a federal supplement of 5,000 rubles. And since last year, a one-time payment has been provided for young teachers in the region who have received a qualification category. About a thousand teachers have already received it. Lump-sum payments of up to 200 thousand rubles have been introduced in 25 municipal districts for young professionals. In addition, starting in 2024, young teachers in the region will receive an increased salary for five years instead of three.

This year, every first-grader in the region will receive a backpack with a full set of stationery at the ceremonial line. In addition, 400 backpacks were sent for first-graders from the sponsored city of Stakhanov.
