The Omsk region summed up the results of the congress and exhibition activities for 2024

In 2024, about 200 events of interregional and international levels were held at the site of the regional Congress Hall. The event calendar of the region has been updated with important events for socio-economic development, including the IV Forum of Heads of Regions of the SCO member states, the Days of Industry in the Omsk Region.

"On the sidelines of business events that take place at the Congress Hall throughout the year, the implementation of large-scale investment projects is being discussed, and various cooperation agreements are being signed. The development of the convention and exhibition industry contributes to the rapid and direct establishment of new cooperative economic ties and the formation of a positive image of the Omsk region. In 2024, residents of Omsk and guests of the city were invited to forums, educational seminars and workshops, concerts, conferences, fashion shows and exhibitions of achievements of the industrial sector of the region," said Evgeny Kovtun, General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.

In 2024, the Omsk Region repeatedly proved that our region is unique in terms of industrial potential, one of the most industrially developed regions of Russia. In February of this year, a two-day field internship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia under the Federal Practice program in the Siberian Federal District took place at the site of the regional Congress Hall. The event was attended by about 600 representatives of the industrial sector from 10 regions of the Siberian Federal District and 6 more regions of the country.

The next important event for the region was the Days of Industry in the Omsk Region. The business platform brought together representatives of relevant executive authorities, business support infrastructures and universities. The main topic was the development of industrial tourism and cluster policy.

"The region has developed and presented the tourist and industrial route "Industry of Siberia - the greatness of Russia", which tells about all stages of the development of Omsk industry. I am sure that we need to continue along the path of developing interregional industrial tourism, we need to open industry to children and teenagers so that they are interested and see their future in the industrial sphere. They also presented a unique master class on the development of industrial clusters aimed at increasing the competitiveness of products," said Vitaly Khotsenko, Governor of the Omsk Region.

Traditionally, Omsk hosted the 20th anniversary Siberian Agrotechnical Exhibition-fair AgroOmsk-2024, which was attended by about 200,000 visitors, 300 companies from 20 regions of Russia presented their products to residents and guests of Omsk, and more than 3,000 specialists took part in the business program of the exhibition.

In September 2024, the Omsk Region was honored to become the venue for the IV Forum of Heads of Regions of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member States.

In addition, specialists from the regional Agency for Development and Investment of the Omsk region assisted in organizing the participation of delegations in interregional and international business missions, exhibitions, conferences, as well as business visits. Thus, representatives of government and business circles took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, presented the region's potential in the Stavropol Territory as part of the inRussia international business conference and exhibition, and visited the North Kazakhstan region of the Republic of Kazakhstan to establish trade, economic, logistical and cooperative ties.
