Digital technologies will be used in the reconstruction of existing power grid facilities and the implementation of the Smart District concept in Omsk municipality.
Today, the head of the Omsk region, Alexander Burkov, took part in a meeting on the development of the grid complex in the regions under the leadership of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District.
Sergey Menyailo considers the development of the electric grid complex to be among the issues that are of great importance both for consumers, primarily the population, and for unlocking the economic potential of the territory. The industry should be attractive for investment, and the cost of services should be acceptable to citizens. The implementation of the Strategy for the development of the Russian electric Grid complex in the regions of Siberia, as well as the introduction of digital technologies in the current economic conditions, were discussed via videoconference.
The Omsk Region has a five-year program for the development of the electric power industry. At the meeting, the head of the region, Alexander Burkov, informed, in particular, about the region's plans to build and reconstruct 27 electric grid facilities by 2021. This includes the construction of 3 substations: one for 220 kilovolts and two for 110.
"It is also planned to build 45 km of new power transmission lines. All the activities of the regional program are taken into account in the investment program of IDGC of Siberia. As for the use of digital technologies in the electric power industry, I can say that they will be used by Omskenergo as early as 2018 during the reconstruction of electric grid facilities. It also provides for the implementation of the smart district concept in the Omsk Region, the largest municipality in the region," said Alexander Burkov. IDGC of Siberia is ready to allocate 1 billion rubles for the digitization of the Omsk Region's electric grid complex.
Regarding the consolidation of the electric grid complex, which is being carried out as part of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, the head of the region noted that today there are 31 territorial grid organizations in the Omsk region instead of 47 two years ago. The head of the region, Alexander Burkov, supports the legislative initiatives of IDGC of Siberia to tighten the criteria for compliance with the TCO status, which give the right to receive a tariff for the transmission of electric energy.
All issues of consolidation of the electric grid complex in the region are being worked out jointly by the Government of the Omsk Region and IDGC of Siberia.
