The Omsk region continues to work on the creation of a master plan for the city of Tara

In the regional Congress Hall, within the framework of the strategic session, the project team formed proposals and recommendations for the development of Packaging.

It should be recalled that specialists from the HSE Faculty of Urban and Regional Development are working on the development of the strategic document with the support of DOM.The Russian Federation, the Government of the Omsk region and the Administration of the Tarsky Municipal District.

The master plan is a document defining the development of the city for the long term – until 2035. This is a comprehensive city strategy that defines the development of the city in various areas and sectors: culture, tourism, education, industry and agriculture, transport, social and housing sectors, landscaping and preservation of cultural heritage. In addition, the document allows you to synchronize existing plans and actions of various authorities, local governments, businesses and the non-profit sector.

Earlier, the Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, met with the CEO of DOM.RF, Vitaly Mutko. The parties agreed to cooperate on a Single Institute for development in the housing sector. The governor noted that the creation of a master plan will help make the Container more attractive to investors and will allow combining development solutions.

During the strategic session, the members of the project team, which included representatives of government authorities, local governments, business communities and experts, were introduced. Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Region Government, took part in the strategic session:

"On behalf of the Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Pavlovich Khotsenko, master plans for the city of Tara are being actively developed. Today, a regular strategic session was held in the areas of economics, housing, healthcare, culture and others, where experts in these fields will express their opinions on the development of these industries in the future. A master plan is, first of all, a kind of strategic document, within the framework of which objects are graphically depicted: culture, economics, logistics, housing and communal services. And this document should tell investors where to invest in the short and medium term. I hope that the opinions expressed by colleagues today will be reflected in the future master plan of the city of Tara."

Thus, the participants presented the results of the "Master Plan Week", which was held in Tara from September 17th to 20th. During this time, the organizers and local concerned residents took part in excursions, project meetings and the conference "Values, development risks and vision of the future of Tara", where they were able to identify preliminary development directions for the city, risks and issues.

As part of the strategy session, under the guidance of experienced facilitators from the Higher School of Economics, the project team members developed proposals for the development of Packaging in the following areas: Urban Economy, Housing and Urban Environment, Engineering Infrastructure and Transport, Education, Healthcare, Sports, Culture, Historical Urban Environment and Tourism and also outlined the next steps in the development of the master plan.
