The Omsk Region continues to develop its cluster policy

Two meetings of working groups on improving the competitiveness of enterprises participating in industrial clusters of the Omsk region were held under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk region Andrey Shpilenko.

The work of which industrial clusters was reviewed at the meetings:

cluster of wood processing, furniture and wood products production,

cluster of railway engineering,

cluster of machinery and agricultural machinery,

a cluster of machinery and thermal power equipment.

During the meetings, the participants reviewed the roadmaps of enterprises participating in industrial clusters and identified key problems hindering the development of production. The main "bottlenecks" are outdated or missing materials of the Omsk region forestry, "personnel shortage", connection to the city's engineering networks, limited sales markets, as well as the need for enterprises to improve roads and adjacent territories.

Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the regional Government of the Omsk region, instructed industry departments to work out problematic issues in detail and develop effective solutions for the next meeting of the working group.
