The Omsk region will host the first stage of the All-Russian Employment Fair "Jobs of Russia. A time of opportunity"
About 1,000 leading Omsk employers will tell residents of the region about employment opportunities.
According to the regional Ministry of Labor, the first round of the All-Russian fair will start on April 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the largest recruitment center "Work of Russia" in Omsk, located on the 1st floor of the Congress Hall (ul. 70 let Oktyabrya, 25, building 2). On the same day, the job fair will begin in all employment centers of the municipal districts of the region.
At the Congress Hall, career and personnel consultants and employer representatives will help applicants identify the most promising industries for further employment. Participants of the large-scale event will be told about how to improve their professional competencies or retrain in a sought-after profession, as well as about the support that can be obtained from the state when applying for employment.
"This year, the All-Russian Employment Fair will once again bring together applicants and employers from various industries, such as the defense industry, IT, transport, agro-industrial complex, education, social sector, healthcare, culture and others. If in 2023, about 7 thousand vacancies were submitted by the enterprises of the region in 2 days, then this year we are ready to offer a record number of them to the attention of the citizens - about 10 thousand from 1,000 organizations. Participants will have the opportunity to be interviewed by several employers at once, get advice, and get acquainted with the most sought-after and highly paid professions in the region," said Vladimir Kupriyanov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, Minister of Labor and Social Development.
The ministry also stressed that the fair's participants, in addition to employers, will include experts in the field of education and career guidance who will help graduates, students and their parents identify the most promising industries for further employment, and those who have yet to choose a future profession to learn about the most relevant areas.
The regional Ministry of Labor said that in the Omsk region there is a wide range of additional support measures aimed at reducing tension in the labor market. Among them are subsidizing hiring for employers, supporting entrepreneurial initiatives of unemployed residents of the region (the amount of payments in the Omsk region is one of the highest in Siberia), organizing temporary jobs for unemployed citizens, and training in professions in demand on the labor market as part of the national Demography project.
This list of measures is constantly being analyzed and expanded. Thus, in 2024, subsidies will again be allocated to enterprises of the military-industrial complex to reimburse costs associated with the organization of vocational training and additional professional education for employees of defense industry enterprises. Thus, at the expense of budgetary funds, enterprises will be able to organize retraining and advanced training of specialists. Last year alone, 6 defense industry enterprises received subsidies for the education of 327 people as part of the national project "Demography".
