Ecological tourism is developing in the Omsk region

In 2017, new tourist routes will appear in the region with visits to natural monuments, zoological sanctuaries, and arboretums.

The day before, the first such route was tested, developed by the Department for the Protection of Wildlife of the Omsk region in cooperation with the Center for Tourism Development "Passionate and I". Recently, 50 Omsk pathfinders studied the life of wildlife in the zoological reserve "Luzinskaya Dacha".

The tourists skied 12 kilometers. In the forest, they were shown a feeding area for ungulates, explained how winter route registration of forest inhabitants is carried out. The tourists were taught to identify the tracks of animals. Someone was lucky enough to see a hare and a roe deer, and everyone enjoyed communicating with nature and a useful walk in the fresh air. At the finish line, tourists were greeted by a delicious lunch cooked over a campfire and real Siberian Ivan tea.

In 2017, which was declared the year of ecology in Russia, a tourist program will be launched in the Omsk region, which will introduce residents of the region and guests to local attractions. The Ministry of Industry plans to conduct information tours, environmental excursions, and expeditions to specially protected areas, natural monuments, and wildlife sanctuaries. Already, specialists from the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, together with rangers and community activists, are developing routes to Lake Lenevo, the Batak floodplain, and the Ishim Plain, and laying "ecological trails" in nature parks, forestry districts, and arboretums in Omsk and the Omsk Region.
