In the Omsk region, lean manufacturing tools are used in the manufacture of Irtysh-10 seed complexes.

The Omsk enterprise SibzavodAgro summed up the results of six months of implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity". The result of the joint work of experts from the Regional Competence Center of the Omsk Region (hereinafter - RCC) and employees of the enterprise was an increase in production, a decrease in the volume of work-in-progress and a reduction in the production time of the bunker of one sowing complex by 45 hours - from 465 to 420 hours.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Omsk region, experts of the RCC, the management team and the working group of the enterprise.

In his welcoming speech, Kirill Samodinsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, thanked the company's staff for their participation and high results in achieving the goals of the project.

"The team has done a great job, and you still have a lot of work ahead of you, when the knowledge you have gained will have to be implemented in other areas of production. I wish you not to stop there. I definitely recommend taking part in the Export Growth Accelerator program. The accelerator will help us enter new markets and minimize export costs."

SibzavodAgro is engaged in the production of agricultural machinery for conservation farming. The company produces the Omich and Irtysh-10 sowing complexes, Omichka seeders, and Marya harvesters. A site for the production of Irtysh-10 seed complexes has been selected to increase productivity. The company started active activities of the national project in January.

Together with the experts of the RCC, the company's working group analyzed the current state of the flow, identified the "bottlenecks" where the main losses occur, and developed an action plan to solve the identified problems in order to achieve the target condition. During the implementation of the project, a project office was created, a company's goal tree, an effective information center, and key performance indicators were developed and approved. The working Group has been trained in the basic tools of lean manufacturing, and three internal lean instructors have also been trained and certified.

Evgeny Naumov, Director of SibzavodAgro, thanked the RCC experts and the company's working group.: "We are satisfied with the results of our participation in the project over the past six months. All employees gained new knowledge during the training process, thanks to which the company became more competitive in the market. We are not going to dwell on the results achieved: we plan to take part in the "Office Process Factory", "Production Process Factory", and also act as mentors for our colleagues at Kalachinsky Mechanical Plant. We will help you implement the lean manufacturing tools that we learned during the six months of the project."

The company has also made improvements in corporate life - the rules for submitting ideas have been developed and the "Best Offer" competition has been launched. Now the company's employees can offer their own innovative solutions to the problems they face in the workplace. Employees are financially motivated.
