In the Omsk region, all municipal investment projects will receive support and support

The first meeting with the investment commissioners took place today.

A specialist responsible for investments has been appointed in the Omsk City Hall and in each municipal district of the region. The Regional Congress Hall brought them together today for an introductory seminar on the basic principles and approaches to working with investors.

Deputy Chairman of the regional Government Andrey Shpilenko spoke in detail about the requirements of the municipal standard, which is being implemented in the regions of Russia.

"I believe that today's event opens a new cycle of our work related to increasing the investment attractiveness of the region," said Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Region Government.

The Omsk authorities intend to involve each municipal district in the investment cycle through the implementation of the municipal standard.

"In his budget message, Governor Vitaly Pavlovich instructed to introduce the municipal standard throughout the Omsk Region, in every municipality. This is precisely the appointment of an investment commissioner, because they will work directly with entrepreneurs who are ready to implement new investment projects on the sites of municipal districts and specific settlements. These may be small projects, however, they can be of great importance within a particular locality. In order for this work to be clear and transparent, it is necessary to introduce a single standard," explained Anna Negoduiko, Minister of Economic Development of the region.

The municipal standard includes 10 elements, among them one of the conditions for the successful implementation of the standard and, consequently, increasing the attractiveness of the territory is the presence of an investment commissioner in the municipality. During the meeting, Andrey Shpilenko, specialists from the Agency for Development and Investment, spoke about the mechanism for supporting investment projects, the principles of "one window" and a new tool – the investor's personal account.

"Together with our colleagues, we looked at the necessary sections in more detail, we were given recommendations on finalizing the municipal investment standard, we understand what to strive for. A lot of work is planned for the next year on the practical application of the investment standard. We will work together with the Regional Government and the Ministry of Economic Development," said Elena Dyachuk, Deputy Mayor of Omsk, Director of the Omsk City Economic Policy Department, Investment Commissioner.

They shared their immediate plans for the implementation of the standard with the districts of the Omsk region and outlined a priority task – the creation of a special section for investors on the websites of the administrations, which will allow each of those responsible for investments in the districts to identify key advantages.

"Today, Andrey Viktorovich Shpilenko explained how we should work with investors, and also explained to us that all districts will compete with each other and at the same time support each other," said Igor Metelev, Deputy head of the Economic Development and Investment Department of the Omsk Municipal District Administration, investment commissioner.

The investment section is one of the elements of the municipal standard. In addition, the standard includes an investment portfolio and performance indicators.

The regional authorities plan to hold a big presentation of the investment potential of the districts next year and even hold competitions between them. There are also plans to present areas outside the region.
