On August 25, the III meeting of the Regional Council for Attracting Investors and improving the Investment Climate began in Petropavlovsk. The delegation from the Omsk region was headed by Denis Kushner, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Omsk Region.
"This event will contribute to the establishment and development of business ties in various fields between Kazakh and Omsk partners," said Denis Vladimirovich, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Omsk Region.
The Council held a plenary session and three thematic panel sessions. The Council's platforms will help investors and entrepreneurs to study in detail the proposals of interest and evaluate each other's capabilities, as well as provide an additional impetus for the implementation of investment projects in promising industries.
"The promising areas of cooperation between the Omsk region and the North Kazakhstan region include the expansion of mutual supplies of food products, agricultural machinery, fertilizers and seeds, petrochemical products, the creation of joint ventures and industrial cooperation in the agro-industrial complex and manufacturing industries, as well as in the social sphere," said Denis Kushner.
About 200 participants from more than 7 countries gathered for the meeting. The event was attended by potential investors, national companies and holdings, development institutions, investment funds, enterprises and entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps and foreign companies from China, Italy, Indonesia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Australia, as well as over 20 representatives of the Russian Federation. The Council's platforms will help investors and entrepreneurs to study in detail the proposals of interest and evaluate each other's capabilities, as well as provide an additional impetus for the implementation of investment projects in promising industries.
It is worth noting that Kazakhstan is the Omsk Region's main foreign trade partner. The share of the Omsk region's trade turnover with Kazakhstan in the total foreign trade turnover of our region is about 30% annually.
"The Omsk region appreciates that we have such friendly partners who are open to developing cooperation. We sincerely hope for further development of mutually beneficial bilateral relations between Omsk and North Kazakhstan regions," Denis Kushner said.
