The XX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan has started in Ufa

The XX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan is being held in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Ufa) from November 26 to November 27, 2024. The main goal of the Forum is to develop business, trade and economy, expand interregional ties and cooperation in the industrial sector between the two countries.

This year, Galina Goncharova, First Deputy Director General of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency, became a participant in the Forum. According to her, during its history, the Forum of Interregional Cooperation has acquired the status of an authoritative platform for cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan. There are plans to attend panel and strategic sessions, a plenary session and round tables.

Over the course of two days, participants will enjoy a rich business program, as well as an exchange of contacts, an exhibition of achievements of the national economy, which presents large-scale machine-building equipment, folk crafts and innovative technologies from the regions of Russia and Kazakhstan, and the Goose and Honey gastronomic festival.

The first Russian-Kazakh interregional forum was held in Omsk in 2003. Then it was called the forum of the border regions. In November 2019, the Omsk Region hosted the Forum again. The key topic "Topical issues of cross-border cooperation development" was discussed at the XVI Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan at the regional Congress Hall.
