Vitaly Khotsenko: A positive state expert opinion has been received on the Omsk Northern Bypass construction project

The project documentation complies with all norms, rules and regulations.

Governor Vitaly Khotsenko noted the importance of the facility for the regional center and the development of the region's capabilities as a whole.

The road transport infrastructure facility will connect two federal highways to Tyumen and Novosibirsk.

"The new road will reduce the mileage of transit transport along the Tyumen – Novosibirsk route bypassing Omsk by more than 20 km, reduce the environmental burden on the regional center, develop the logistical potential of our entire region and allow transport to leave the industrial zone directly, bypassing Omsk. The northern bypass provides for a 65.3 km road length with four lanes in each direction, two bridges over the Irtysh River and the Om River, 19 overpasses and 5 transport interchanges, with a projected traffic intensity of up to 16,500 vehicles per day in 2027," said Vitaly Khotsenko, head of the Omsk region.

The project is being implemented in the form of a public-private partnership with the participation of Gazprombank, a partner in the region and an expert in the field of road construction.
