Vitaly Khotsenko announced plans to launch the first plant in the Omsk SEZ in December 2024.
The first object of the industrial infrastructure of the special economic zone "Avangard" will be the production of metal structures.
The Governor of the Omsk region noted this in his report on the main directions of budgetary and socio-economic policy for 2025.
"In December, the first plant for the production of metal structures will be commissioned on the territory of the SEZ. At the beginning of next year, we plan to launch the production of lubricants and coolants. This year, 3 residents' applications were approved, 2 more applications for residency are planned by the end of the year, and next year we plan to place an industrial technopark," Vitaly Khotsenko said in his speech.
The Governor has also set the task of obtaining a decision at the federal level on the expansion of the territory of the special zone during 2025. The land plots for the location of new production facilities in the existing SEZ are running out. An application for its expansion is being prepared.
Vitaly Khotsenko noted that the Omsk region has made significant progress in the creation of industrial and industrial parks, technoparks.
"The implementation of projects of all types of parks in the Omsk region in the amount of 36 billion rubles will create more than 3,000 jobs. In general, we plan to involve 170 enterprises of the Omsk region in the creation of new industrial infrastructure facilities," the head of the region emphasized.
