Vitaly Khotsenko: Omsk region has all the conditions for the development of industrial tourism

Today Omsk has become the industrial capital of Russia.

On May 27-28, 2024, a large-scale event, the Days of Industry in the Omsk Region, is taking place in the regional Congress Hall. The business platform brought together representatives of relevant executive authorities, business support infrastructures, universities and the tourism business. Interdisciplinary regional teams have already defended projects and strategies for the development of industrial tourism developed within the framework of the Open Industry accelerator to experts, and representatives of enterprises have presented their solutions for career guidance programs and excursions. Participants of the methodological program "PRO CLUSTERS" defended projects for the creation of industrial clusters.

Before the start of the plenary session, Governor Vitaly Khotsenko and his colleagues visited the exhibition of industrial clusters created and being implemented in the Omsk region. The exhibitors were enterprises participating in industrial clusters. They presented their products to the head of the region and told about the state support they received from the Omsk Region Industrial Development Fund.

Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants of the Days of Industry in the Omsk Region with a video message: "I would like to thank the leadership of the region for organizing a business platform where we summarize the results of the joint work of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives under the Open Industry program. In just three years, it has become truly national. Industrial tourism is already being developed in 73 regions. Today, almost 1,000 enterprises from 20 industries have become available to visitors. ASI specialists did a very good job by creating a platform for online excursions, and it is even more necessary to "accelerate" the program on social networks in order to attract talented young people."

According to Svetlana Chupsheva, Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives for the Promotion of New Projects, the Omsk region was not chosen by chance to host such a large-scale event. "Omsk is closely connected with the development of industry, the human meanings that created this industry. This is what the unique tourist route "Industry of Siberia - the greatness of Russia" tells us," Svetlana Chupsheva noted in her welcome video message.

The Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, said that industrial tourism is becoming important today in the development of the economy and tourism potential of the regions. It has turned into a whole movement that helps attract investment and distribute the products of Russian enterprises.

"Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin said that the industry needs to be opened up so that more people know what industrial potential we have. That Russia is an industrial country, so that the whole story related to the development of industry in our country continues," Vitaly Khotsenko emphasized.

In addition, Vitaliy Khotsenko in his speech spoke in favor of promoting interregional tourist routes. According to the head of the region, the Omsk region has all the conditions for the development of industrial tourism.

As part of the business program, the final presentation of the tourist industrial route of the Omsk region "Industry of Siberia - the greatness of Russia" took place. The route demonstrates that industrial enterprises of the Omsk region have been the shield and reliable support of Russia from historical times to the present. At the moment, it includes 10 enterprises of the petrochemical, food, machine-building, and agricultural industries. The logical conclusion of the presentation of the tourist industrial route of the region was the signing ceremony of agreements on the launch of industrial tourism projects in the Omsk region.

The heads of industrial enterprises in the region exchanged folders with the Ministry of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Processing Industry of the Omsk Region and the Ministry of Culture of the Omsk Region. In the future, they will continue to develop the route and fill it with new meanings and participating enterprises. In addition, the participants were presented with the 10 best regional projects for the development of industrial tourism and the 10 best projects of enterprises. The winners were awarded with commemorative cups.

It should be noted that the participants of the methodological program "PRO CLUSTERS" also spent two days actively. The management teams of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation for the identification and implementation of investment projects aimed at import substitution of industrial products, using a cluster approach, defended industrial cluster projects. The Omsk Region Industrial Development Fund is implementing cluster policy in the region. FRP specialists defended two new industrial clusters: household goods and a cluster of light industry.

In addition, programs for the development of two existing industrial clusters were presented to the expert jury.

An important moment of the business event was the opening of the Representative Office of the Association of Clusters of Technoparks and SEZs of Russia (AKIT RF) in the Siberian Federal District. The agreement was signed by Mikhail Labudin, Director of the AKIT of the Russian Federation, and Svetlana Bazhenova, Director of the Omsk Region Industry Development Fund.

"Today Omsk is a leading region in a number of areas where the government takes an active position and tries to create all conditions for attracting investors. The region is actively developing, today enterprises have submitted plans to create 4 more industrial clusters, and at the moment 10 industrial clusters are already included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade," Mikhail Labudin said.
