Vitamin capital: Omsk region can turn natural raw materials into high-tech production

The head of the Omsk Region, Vitaly Khotsenko, has identified a clear strategic priority: attracting investments and systematically improving the investment climate in the region.

Shock freezing is a way to "preserve" summer in every berry. The berry is not just cooled, but instantly cooled to -30C. Due to this, tiny ice crystals form inside it, which do not tear the delicate structure. As a result, after defrosting, the berry looks and smells as if it had just been plucked from the bush.: it remains intact, retains its real taste, bright color and all the vitamins.

Berry freezing production has a high investment attractiveness. Firstly, the region has a raw material base: in addition to wild plants – cranberries and lingonberries, Omsk producers can supply high—quality raw materials - the region has nurseries for growing garden berries – raspberries, strawberries, blackberries - this will reduce the cost of purchasing raw materials. Secondly, a number of preferences are available to the investor: exemption from transport tax for 10 years and land tax for 5 years (when choosing a site for the construction of production facilities in the territory of the Avangard SEZ) and awarding the project the status of a large-scale Investment Project. Thirdly, the entrepreneur has about 10 construction sites to choose from.

The Agency's Development and Investment team will provide full project support on a one-stop-shop basis. The specialists are responsible for solving all key issues: the selection of a land plot and a production site, the examination of a financial model, the development of a business plan, as well as full consulting and legal assistance when the enterprise reaches full capacity.

"Our main task is to fulfill the strategic plan of the Governor of the region to improve the investment climate. In each project, the role of the Development and Investment Agency is to act as a reliable guide: to take over all administrative work: from land registration to the selection of preferential loans, so that the investor can quickly launch production and turn the natural resources of the region into a finished product."
 – said Svetlana Bazhenova, General Director of the Agency.
