The Japanese Association for Trade with Russia and Newly Independent States ROTOBO will hold a seminar in Omsk in December.

Today, on November 20, in the regional Congress Hall, representatives of the Regional Ministry of Economy, the Regional Agency for Development and Investment and the Omsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry held talks with Mr. Hase Naoya, representative of the Japanese Association for Trade with Russia and Newly Independent States ROTOBO.

The ROTOBO Association was founded in 1967 to promote business cooperation between Japanese enterprises and former Soviet countries and Mongolia. The Association has almost 150 members, including trading firms, enterprises of various industries, banks, stock companies, industry associations, passenger and cargo transportation agencies, as well as local governments.

ROTOBO's activities include organizing and supporting business forums, seminars, presentations and lectures, sending specialists and delegations to partner countries, as well as receiving delegations from these countries, collecting and analyzing the latest information related to business with partner countries, and distributing this information to ROTOBO members.

During negotiations between representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Omsk Region, the Agency for Development and Investment and the ROTOBO Association, an agreement was reached to hold a seminar in the regional Congress Hall on December 4-5, during which six organizations of the Association will present their reports on work and possible cooperation in the fields of oil refining, petrochemistry, energy conservation, industry and ecology, as well as waste disposal.
