In five months, the Omsk region has increased its export volumes by one and a half times.
The Regional Ministry of Economy reports that the volume of exports of regional enterprises increased by five months this year. 53,2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
"We are observing a positive trend in the development of non-economic activity in the region. In the first five months of this year, there has been an increase in foreign trade turnover by 38,9% compared to the same period last year. The amount was 496,2 millions of US dollars, of which exports account for 363,2 millions of US dollars. The enterprises supplied chemical industry products, rubber, foodstuffs and raw materials, and machine-building products.", – according to the regional Ministry of Economy.
The ministry explained that since the second quarter of last year, a project has been implemented in the Omsk region aimed at developing international cooperation and exports to 2025 years. The essence of the project is to stimulate the creation and development of export-oriented enterprises, the development of international cooperation.
"Omsk Region has a huge potential for positioning itself as a barrier-free region for the development of international cooperation and exports, a major transport and logistics hub, as well as the region – a manufacturer of high-quality products that are competitive in global markets", − according to the Ministry of Economy of the Omsk region.
It should be noted that the Omsk region is actively developing international cooperation. This year, negotiations with potential foreign partners took place within the framework of more than 20 events. Traditionally, China is one of the top three trading partners of the region. Since the beginning of the year, deliveries have already been made from the Omsk region. 5 thousand tons of wheat. "To date, Omsk enterprises have reached agreements with Chinese partners on the supply of oilseeds, oils, flour, confectionery and pasta, snack products, ice cream, honey, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as timber, wooden and knitted products, household chemicals to the Chinese market.", − The Ministry of Economy of the Omsk region clarifies.
According to the results of the first five months of this year, Kazakhstan, Belarus, the Netherlands and China are among the most active trading partners. In total, from January to May, about a thousand entrepreneurs collaborated with more than 80 countries of the world.
